New kit, new page to share.
I just picked up Kristin Aagard's new kit Ocean Safari. Such an adorable kit to scrap with. Plus there's great water overlays to add that little something more.

My Littles

I made 2 new layouts from one of the kits I bought on iNSD.
Oh yes I forgot to mention in my last post. I'm a new mommy again, to a beautiful baby girl. She was born 1/22/2012. Her name is Lilian, my little Lili-Beans. :) In my last post the Layout I made from emeto designs kit Ponies & Bows, the little baby in it is Lili.
This is a collab kit called "Love Lives Here" By: Kristin Aagard & Kristin Rice I thought it was perfect for my little family.

iNSD

Yes it is!. It is {inter}NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!!! Woohoo!. Love it. Beings that I am not only a crafter but I am a Digi scrapper too. I have always been big on traditional scrapbooking and I still do it from time to time. Yep when I get the urges, I pull out all my stamps, scissors, pens, colorful papers and oodles of photos. **Hi, I'm Rachel, and I am a photo addict** I freely admit that.
I got into Digi scrapping about 6yrs ago. Now with that I found another addiction. I love the images that can be created doing it the Digital way *....akward...* They bring a whole new life to pictures that I never could imagine till I learned how to do it.
The designers that come up with all the kits are genius. I love them all. But there is one designer that I just absolutely LuRve!! Kristin Aagard.
Her kits are just gorgeous. When I have friends that ask me where to get good digi kits from, she is the first designer I send them to. I have tons of her kits. I think I sell my sewing just to support my habit. Haha.
Here are some of my pages I've made with her kits:

Kit: On The Wind
My layout:

Kit: Jailbird
My layout:

Kit: Pond Play
(no longer available)

Another designer I've been using recently is Emeto Designs designer Emilia Germanova's kits are adorable. I just bought her kit Ponies and bows.
Ponies and Bows
It's just perfect for my little girl. Here's the page I created using this kit. Can't wait to make more cute pages.
Right now After Five Designs is having a {inter}National Scrapbooking Day Sale! 40% off the entire store. I've all ready bought 5 kits between both designers!!. There's sooo many more kits I still want to get. But I know I must pace myself ( I might overload my laptop if I don't watch myself).

So get on over to After Five Designs and get your kits! You'll be glad you did. *^_^*

I'm Back!!

Yes it has been a very loooongggggg time since I last posted here. I've been pretty neglectful of my Digi scrapping for awhile. There's just been so much going on in life that I could just never find the time to scrap. I am hoping now that I have made some changes in my life I will have more time for the things that I truly love. *^_^*
GREAT NEWS!!!!
Well I am very excited to announce that we (my hubby & I) are expecting our 2nd bundle of joy Yay!! lol Due January 25, 2012
It was one of those big unexpectedly expecting type of situations. But we are excited none the less. Friends and family all pretty much had the same reaction "it's about time!" haha. Love them.

So to celebrate the news I made a page from a wonderful kit by (of course) Kristin Aagard called Pea in a pod.

(as of today I'm now 19wks 2days)

One more week and we will be able to know what we are having. Hubby of course wants another boy (surprise surprise *wink*) I have a big feeling that it's a girl but I don't mind either way. And when we ask David he says "it doesn't matter as long as they can play games with me" lol. He's going to be a great big brother.

Hopefully you'll be seeing more great pages from me very soon, and I'll also be posting about new kits from my favorite Digi designers. Happy Scrapping *^_^*

Love Story

I got a new Digi kit a few days ago. It's from the Designers at Shabby Pickle Designs. It's called "Love Story". Here's what the kit looks like. You can get it at the Shabby Boutique.

I realized. I have a lot of my wedding pictures that i have yet to scrap. Here's some of the Pages I've made wit the kit.

Trying to get back to posting

Wow! I have been away way too long. I've been working really hard on my Etsy shop and projects that are just stacking up. I was very excited to have to sale's. One wasn't on Etsy it was to a friend. She bought a half dozen of my Pena Pals. The other was my favorite piece "Coraline's squid". A gentelman bought it for his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. He wrote me the most awesome letter that I'm going to have to post for eveyone to see. I was so happy after reading it, it just made my day. Here's the squid

Here's the note he convo'd me on Etsy:

Hey There,

I just wanted to say that the Coraline squid I purchased from you was amazing. I bought it as a Valentine's Day gift for my girlfriend and she loved it. I think that all of the personal touches you added to the sale (the thank you card, business card, etc.) are incredible and very sweet.
You helped make Valentine's Day very special as going to see Coraline was one of the first dates my girlfriend and I went on. You are doing amazing work and I just wanted to express my gratitude. Thank you very much and I wish you all the best!

Sorry I've been AWAL!

I just feel so bad that I have been nigleting this blog. I've been working on getting my crafts sold that I just haven't had time to scrap. But I did get to do a few so you know what, I'll share them now. :) This is my avatar/icon for my SewRae! shop on Etsy. I don't have any items posted yet but probably after the holidays. I also have a banner that cordinates with it on the Etsy shop and it's also posted on my craft blog SewRae! The elements are from my favorite desinger Kristin Aagard she sells her kits like this one called "Bird Song" at Shabby Pickle

This is of course of my son David just before he turned 1. He loves the camera, he has a facination with them. Now when you take a picture of him, he goes "lemme see! and has to see it.

This is me and David now. He's 5. He loves making paper plains and flying them anywhere he can.

Happy Halloween!

Yay! Halloween is here. One of my favorite holidays. David's excited to go trick or treating tonight, he all ready wants to wear his costume. He's going to be the Transformer Bumble Bee. He likes Bumble Bee. I was a big Transformer kid and I think I passed it on to David. :) Well I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween. Here's a few pages of past Halloween costumes of David. I'll take some pictures tonight and make more to show.
1. David's first Halloween. He was only 10 days old. I used a quick page from Kristen Aagard. David was Tigger.
2. David was I believe 3yrs and was playing with some other costumes and liked the jester costume. He was actually Spider Man for this Halloween.
3. This was last years Halloween. David was 4yrs. He's a ninja. For this page and #2 I used "happy halloween' Kit by Kezcreates at SBF

David's B-day and Where the wild things are movie....

Well my son David's birthday was on Wednesday. He turned 5. He was so excited to go to school. He got a birthday crown and a yoyo and a certificate. I also helped in his class that day. They did jump roping and patterns. David loves patterns and matching.
After school Grandma took him to see Where The Wild Things Are. It was a good movie, to me though dialog wise it's more for the tween age to understand. I loved the book as a kid and was happy that they made it into a movie. But with it being a short book of course they needed to add more to it in order to make a movie. There's references on divorce. David was only interested when something was going on. The dialog was kinda above his level.
To for warn you if you have little ones that want to see it, it is a tad scary when Max first meets the Wild things, there is a lot of ruff-housing and there is a scene with biting. Me and my husband think that if your little ones want to see it, we suggest to see it yourself first and make your own decision to let the kids see it.

Saturday we had David's birthday party. We were low on funds so we had his party at home. I made a cake for him. It was confetti cake with blue icing and the decorations were of course Transformers. Bumble Bee is his favorite. That's also what he's going to be for Halloween. He had fun, we had just family. Unfortunately he's the only one under 15 on both sides of the family. But he didn't mind. Next year he'll have more friends from school he'll be able to invite.

Well this was my ramblings for the week. Hope you enjoyed my little movie review. Have a great new week. Keep the good crafts flowing.. :)

My drawings...

Well it's been over a month now and I realized I've been neglecting my Scrap blog. I got some of my drawings up at flickr.com so I figured I'd share them here as well.
A lot of my drawings are of tattoo's I did for friends. I am a visual drawer, if I've seen it or I have a reference I can pretty much draw it out and add on to it from there. I'm self teaching to do more free handed work. I'm just not thrilled with any of my results yet. So when I draw some that I would truly be proud to show off I will definitely post them.
(The tribal lion I drew it for a friend as a tattoo, he got it on his back, and the happy sparrow drawing are the only free handed drawings that I'm happy with so far. .)

I'm still here...

It's been a while since I last posted, I know.... I've been super busy with David starting Kindergarden, I was sick for awhile, our van had broken down, and so on. But I'm trying to work out some new pages. I've been a little focused on my sewing this past week and whipped out some new bags. And with now having my laptop it's hard to make the pages that I want to do. The one I am on is old and the programs aren't that great, I'm not able to upgrade because the system only runs on Windows 2000. I don't like making pages that are only half as good as I want them to be. But I promise I will get some new ones out soon. Happy Scrapping everyone.

David's Imagination

I got this cute freebie kit from Chouk77 at Boutique Digiscrap. It's called "Mon Petit Dragon"

David was sitting with me when I was making this page. So he actually told me what he wanted to have in it. He loves to imagine.

They grow so fast...

This is a new page I made from a Sample kit "Ocean Deep" by Kristin Aagard.
I love her kits (as you can see I have bought a few kits with my previous pages) they are so cute and well put together.

I've been having a little technical difficulties since my hard drive on my other laptop went out. Right now I'm using an old laptop from my dad that still uses Windows2000. Sad I know. But hey it gets me on the Internet. So I have to use Microsoft Powerpoint to create pages right now. So sorry if they look a little small or odd.

But definitely check out Kristin's kits when you get a chance. She has a new store at
Shabby Pickle Designs.
My son David wants to be big like his dad, he tells me all the time. :)

I just bought to adorable kits from the Gotta Pixel shop. Kristin Aagard was one of their featured designers (I LOVE her kits!). So I grabed a few $1 kits and bought 2 great kist from Kristen's collection which were "Pond Play & "Birdsong". (Needless to say my 4GB flash drive is now full and I have to go buy another on next week) This is my page done with part of the "Pond Play" kit

Jamie's turning 25!

I'm excited today, my sister-in-law is turning 25!.
...... Now I know you're probably wondering why I would be excited for that...
Well Jamie is vary special to me and our family, she was born with many problems and bascily it was/is so bad that the doctor's didn't think she would live past 2 days, well she did!. Then they said if she did then she wouldn't function like a normal child, she would be a vegitable, she wouldn't be able to talk and write or anything for that matter, well again she proved them wrong!!.LOL. This girl can talk, sing, write, do puzzles, play games, she kicks my butt a cards all the time. :)
She is such an awesome person and I'm glad I know her and am able to share in all she does. Please join me in wishing her a wonderful and outstanding 25th Birthday. I love you JayJay!!!.
