Sorry I've been AWAL!

I just feel so bad that I have been nigleting this blog. I've been working on getting my crafts sold that I just haven't had time to scrap. But I did get to do a few so you know what, I'll share them now. :) This is my avatar/icon for my SewRae! shop on Etsy. I don't have any items posted yet but probably after the holidays. I also have a banner that cordinates with it on the Etsy shop and it's also posted on my craft blog SewRae! The elements are from my favorite desinger Kristin Aagard she sells her kits like this one called "Bird Song" at Shabby Pickle

This is of course of my son David just before he turned 1. He loves the camera, he has a facination with them. Now when you take a picture of him, he goes "lemme see! and has to see it.

This is me and David now. He's 5. He loves making paper plains and flying them anywhere he can.

Happy Halloween!

Yay! Halloween is here. One of my favorite holidays. David's excited to go trick or treating tonight, he all ready wants to wear his costume. He's going to be the Transformer Bumble Bee. He likes Bumble Bee. I was a big Transformer kid and I think I passed it on to David. :) Well I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween. Here's a few pages of past Halloween costumes of David. I'll take some pictures tonight and make more to show.
1. David's first Halloween. He was only 10 days old. I used a quick page from Kristen Aagard. David was Tigger.
2. David was I believe 3yrs and was playing with some other costumes and liked the jester costume. He was actually Spider Man for this Halloween.
3. This was last years Halloween. David was 4yrs. He's a ninja. For this page and #2 I used "happy halloween' Kit by Kezcreates at SBF

David's B-day and Where the wild things are movie....

Well my son David's birthday was on Wednesday. He turned 5. He was so excited to go to school. He got a birthday crown and a yoyo and a certificate. I also helped in his class that day. They did jump roping and patterns. David loves patterns and matching.
After school Grandma took him to see Where The Wild Things Are. It was a good movie, to me though dialog wise it's more for the tween age to understand. I loved the book as a kid and was happy that they made it into a movie. But with it being a short book of course they needed to add more to it in order to make a movie. There's references on divorce. David was only interested when something was going on. The dialog was kinda above his level.
To for warn you if you have little ones that want to see it, it is a tad scary when Max first meets the Wild things, there is a lot of ruff-housing and there is a scene with biting. Me and my husband think that if your little ones want to see it, we suggest to see it yourself first and make your own decision to let the kids see it.

Saturday we had David's birthday party. We were low on funds so we had his party at home. I made a cake for him. It was confetti cake with blue icing and the decorations were of course Transformers. Bumble Bee is his favorite. That's also what he's going to be for Halloween. He had fun, we had just family. Unfortunately he's the only one under 15 on both sides of the family. But he didn't mind. Next year he'll have more friends from school he'll be able to invite.

Well this was my ramblings for the week. Hope you enjoyed my little movie review. Have a great new week. Keep the good crafts flowing.. :)

My drawings...

Well it's been over a month now and I realized I've been neglecting my Scrap blog. I got some of my drawings up at flickr.com so I figured I'd share them here as well.
A lot of my drawings are of tattoo's I did for friends. I am a visual drawer, if I've seen it or I have a reference I can pretty much draw it out and add on to it from there. I'm self teaching to do more free handed work. I'm just not thrilled with any of my results yet. So when I draw some that I would truly be proud to show off I will definitely post them.
(The tribal lion I drew it for a friend as a tattoo, he got it on his back, and the happy sparrow drawing are the only free handed drawings that I'm happy with so far. .)

I'm still here...

It's been a while since I last posted, I know.... I've been super busy with David starting Kindergarden, I was sick for awhile, our van had broken down, and so on. But I'm trying to work out some new pages. I've been a little focused on my sewing this past week and whipped out some new bags. And with now having my laptop it's hard to make the pages that I want to do. The one I am on is old and the programs aren't that great, I'm not able to upgrade because the system only runs on Windows 2000. I don't like making pages that are only half as good as I want them to be. But I promise I will get some new ones out soon. Happy Scrapping everyone.

David's Imagination

I got this cute freebie kit from Chouk77 at Boutique Digiscrap. It's called "Mon Petit Dragon"

David was sitting with me when I was making this page. So he actually told me what he wanted to have in it. He loves to imagine.

They grow so fast...

This is a new page I made from a Sample kit "Ocean Deep" by Kristin Aagard.
I love her kits (as you can see I have bought a few kits with my previous pages) they are so cute and well put together.

I've been having a little technical difficulties since my hard drive on my other laptop went out. Right now I'm using an old laptop from my dad that still uses Windows2000. Sad I know. But hey it gets me on the Internet. So I have to use Microsoft Powerpoint to create pages right now. So sorry if they look a little small or odd.

But definitely check out Kristin's kits when you get a chance. She has a new store at
Shabby Pickle Designs.
My son David wants to be big like his dad, he tells me all the time. :)
